Jane Scovell is the author of collaborative autobiographies with, among others, Elizabeth Taylor, Maureen Stapleton, Ginger Rogers, Marilyn Horne, Kitty Dukakis, QVC host, Kathy Levine, and Tim Conway. She has also written biographies of Oona O’Neill Chaplin and Samuel Ramey. Her books Elizabeth Takes OffIt’s Better To LaughNow You KnowTim Conway, What’s So Funny? and Oona, Living in the Shadows were on the New York Times and Los Angeles Times best-seller lists. Her articles have appeared in the Boston Globe, the Sunday New York Times and the New York Times Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Travel and Leisure, and Opera News. She has written her first play, A Helluva Life, based on the life of Maureen Stapleton. Her latest book, Small Town, Big Dreams, was published in October 2022. She is currently working with television director and musicologist Brian Large.
